One or two.ДЇor stats, average out your strength and get groovy on the Dex (but you'll come across people that say that Strength is better - it's a sign of how well the game is designed that both are viable). That's pretty much the only thing you need to decide in act 1. But, you give up wielding two completely killer sabers for one, and later in the game this becomes important. Which means you either run around using a single pistol (with a bonus to hit/bonus to damage) or use two pistoleros and throw up a hail of gunfire.

Your first big choice is whether to go twin saber/dual-saber or single saber (for act 1 substitute 'weapon' for 'saber').

Fuck me running I've never had so much fun in a game and it is INTENSELY satisfying (like an orgasmic level) to Force Choke that fucker Malak. Once you're a Jedi, go shithouse with Force Powers. Use a single blaster so you have a marginal improvement in chance to hit and defense. All the fights are do-able as a Scoundrel 2 (even a solo Scoundrel 2 - man I've played this game too much). Play through Act I and essentially be a hanger on to Carth/Bastila/Zaalbar. With a future of little hit points, kick that there Defense as high as possible. Or, as I like to call him, Lord DeathAteMyFace. It's a rough one, but AwMyGawd is it fun. If you love the game and want to explore all the options, you'll be running through it again for at least the second time (to explore whichever side of the Force you didn't do the first time), so you can get fancy-schmancy with your character build at that point, when you've already got a good idea of how the game goes. The game is not super-hard, and you won't have very much trouble with it if you just play the obvious way. Pick one side of the Force and stick to it. For you, they don't exist.Дon't save levels or anything, choose any class combination that you want (I started with Scout/Guardian, which is fun, my roommate started with Soldier/Guardian, which was fun, my friend did Scoundrel/Sentinal, which was, you guessed it, fun, and I went back and did Scoundrel/Conselar, and guess what? It's fun).

Your NPC characters will be the ones that use ranged weapons. It honestly doesn't matter which one you choose - go on the basis of whether you think it's cooler to have one Cool Laser Sword in your hand, or two Cool Laser Swords (or one Darth Maul Style Cool Laser Sword). Don't get any ranged weapon feats.Д¬hoose either the two-weapon fighting feat tree, or the duellist (one-weapon-fighting) feat tree, and stick to what you choose. If you do, you should up Strength, short Dex, and start with Not So Cool Vibro Swords. I assume that you want to swing around Cool Laser Swords.
